During the French revolution of 1789, the abbey of Cluny was sold for use as a stone quarry (Aaargh!). It was on its ruins that what is now the hotel de Bourgogne of Cluny was built. This hotel is therefore as close as possible to Cluny Abbey, in the heart of the medieval city.
With its 16 rooms, it is the second largest hotel in Cluny. You will certainly feel more at one with a charming bourgeois house, with French ceilings, parquet floors and a calm and serene atmosphere.
The hotel has a pleasant shaded terrace and a PRM room. The restaurants are within walking distance.
There is no doubt that the quality of the reception is the best service provided by the team at the hotel de Bourgogne of Cluny: kindness, sympathy and availability are the order of the day.
In addition to the essentials usually provided by hotels, you can park your car in the hotel's car park (for a fee, but convenient in the city centre). Once you have finished visiting Cluny, the hotel's shaded terrace and bar will be a relaxing place to stay.
Preferring home-made products, breakfast can be served in the garden, weather permitting.
